The space Amir homestay lies at the heart of chushot village and it is 35 minutes away from the leh airport. It is basically a farmhouse away from the city. The leh main market is 15kms away and can be reached by shared or booked taxis as well as from bus service up to choglamsar(mini market before reaching at the farm stay). Here at the farmhouse vegetables are cultivated organically in vegetable garden as well as in greenhouse during the winter round the year with the help of vermicomposting recently and among fruits 4 apple trees bears sweet as well as sour types of apple and one tree bears apricots, they are ripe and ready to eat in late Aug and Sep. One can try their hands at different activities going on in the home during the day, be it watering the flowers and gardens sowing seeds and planting trees .Activities are according to the season , early spring i .e April-may are the busiest month in which first cutting of different types of trees which are used for various purposes such as roof-woods, fire woods for winters etc then comes making proper soil canals or modifying the existing small to medium canals for watering garden , vegetables , orchards ,trees etc, then comes making the plots for vegetable garden, making proper channels and sowing the seeds or matured seeds followed by watering them and taking good care for its proper growth. Everything is produced inside the farmhouse and is independent of outside processed food. if one is bird watcher he/she can spot common sparrow, rose finches, robin accentors, Hoopoe, Turtle doves, red billed chough, Magpies etc. Guest access The farmhouse is surrounded by 6 to 7 feets brickwall and it consist of the parking premises near the entrance , willow trees and poplars around as you can see in the property pictures , barley fields ,green-house and cattle sheds at the back and vegetable garden at the front with the green house at the back near the tubewell. The guests have access to all of them and can roam around anywhere inside the walls . The inside property consist of specific private rooms specified for guest and shared common dining rooms and two shared bathrooms each on the floors and an attached local ladakhi eco-friendly toilet. A large shared dormatory glass-room is also there for the guests where upto 8 persons can be accomodated.
