The Whispering Walleye Fish Camp is centrally located in Huron. Great locally owned restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, bars, restaurants, and public beaches are all within a 5-10 minute walk. There's a large concrete area with outdoor seating and tables to gather around the fire pit. There is a fish cleaning station with running water. There is a train track that runs directly behind the main house on this property so caution should be exercised by anyone with sound sensitivity. The trains run many times throughout the day and throughout the night and the whistles can be very loud. Earplugs are provided in each of our cabins. A multi-million dollar public boat launch is located across the street. Plenty of space to park your truck and trailer. Plenty of outdoor seating at concrete patio area, which includes a fire pit and a charcoal grill. A fish cleaning station with running water is available for fishermen. Available by text or email. The Riverfront cottage located at the Whispering Walleye Fish Camp, sits on one acre of land in Huron, Ohio. This hidden gem overlooks the Huron River. They are all within a 10 minute drive from our location. A train track is nearby, in case of any sensitivity to noise. Trains past several times per day and throughout the night and there was cells can be very loud. We do provide ear plugs in each of the cabins. We want our guests to be aware of this prior to booking. This is a dry cabin. In other words, there is no running water in the cabin itself. Cold and hot water is, of course, available in the full bathroom. Guests in this cabin share a full bath with others on site at the time, not unlike the situation in a campground. The shared bathrooms are located at the back of the canoe/kayak rental building. Towels and toiletries are provided.
