With a location we fell in love with it really is one of the most relaxing and beautiful places we have ever seen. Polfages is an idyllic location for your holiday. Situated over looking the rolling hills with views over to the Montagne Noir on one side the Pyrenees on the other. It offers a holiday that can be both relaxing and action packed. Polfages is ideal if you just want to sit by the pool and relax taking in the stunning views or if you want to make the most of you time in the region. Mazamet is a 3 bedroom cottage (sleeping 6). The ground floor has a well equipped kitchen and dinning area with a comfortable lounge area. The second floor consists of 3 very large super king size or twin bedrooms. All the bedrooms are designed with en suits and to the highest standard of comfort and with the extra space in each bedroom they are all both light and airy. There is access to WIFI and English TV channels so you can stay in touch with the world should you so desire. The lounge leads onto a large terrace that allows you to enjoy the alfresco life style of the South West of France whilst enjoying the peace of our location whilst taking in the stunning views. The pool is set in the gardens of Polfages, over looking the stunning country side of the region and giving you a truly panoramic view. So there is no need to worry if the children what to go off and explore. The medieval town of Mirepoix is 10 to 15 minutes away. It is a beautiful drive into the town and Mirepoix offers everything that a visitor to the region could want There is a large and regionally famously French market on Monday and a smaller farmers market on Thursday. The town is well know for its cathedral and also for its witches. There is a super market and a large number of cafés a restaurants positioned around the photogenic covered square. Guest access You have the use of our shared pool which is a great way to cool down on the hot summer days or just relax around while the children have fun. Other things to note One of the reasons we love living at Polfages is that Sundays are still see as a day to spend with the family and as such there are very few supermarkets open. Those that are open close at around 7.30 on Saturday evening and only open on Sunday morning . Because our guest may not be able to get their 1st shopping due of arrivals times, we offer our guest the chance to have their 1st shopping done for them. Just email us a list of shopping you what you would like us to get for you and for 5 Euro’s we will have it ready and way for when you get here. Please remember that not all items are not the same in France and some specific English items maybe quite expensive or unobtainable. We offer our guests a laundry service to make your stay easier or just making going home and the thought of washing and ironing already done. The charge is 10 euro's per load and an ironing service for an additional 5 euro's.
