Description

Ty Newydd (House New) is a traditional farmhouse on a working farm, built in the 1840s that retains many of its original features but has all the comforts of modern day living, including a light, airy conservatory. There is a large garden in which to relax or for children to play. It is quiet and secluded and has wonderful views of the sea and mountains. As a sheep farm, it is busy at certain times of the year. With permission and directions, walk up the fields to see Snowdonia mountains. The space Upstairs, there are three comfortable double bedrooms - bedroom 1 has 3 single beds (two of which can be joined together to make a super king size). It has a spacious dedicated bathroom (walls too thick to make an adjoining door). Bedroom 2 and 3 have a double bed and an ensuite shower-room. All rooms have recently been redecorated. There is a kitchen, dining room, parlour, conservatory and a shared large garden. There is a toilet downstairs. Outside is the farmyard with a large shed where sheep are kept at certain times of the year. My brother is the farmer. For an small charge, why not treat yourselves to my wonderful cooked breakfasts? Just give me a day's notice please. There is plenty of room to park. Guest access With permission and following directions, guests may go for a walk up our fields where there are magnificent views of Snowdonia mountain range, the sea and surrounding countryside with 360' vista. In the evening relax in the garden or conservatory overlooking the garden looking up at the stars. No light pollution whatsoever. We completed a big building project this year, converting our adjoining granary to form part of the house. We live in this part but our paths do not cross unless you happen to see me in our kitchen. There is a door that can be kept closed should you prefer complete privacy. Other things to note Ty Newydd is a working sheep farm and can be busy at certain times of the year (mainly Feb/March). Shearing in June. Some areas are out of bounds. My brother, Clwyd, is the farmer and is here every day. After milking 300 cows on a nearby farm, morning and afternoon, he comes to Ty Newydd for his breakfast and lunch. During lambing he may stay as it's on duty 24/7. Please do not roam the fields without permission, particularly during lambing. We have a working sheepdog, Meg. When not working she is tethered and she may bark at you!
