The Stonehouse is only an hours drive from Melbourne and located in close proximity to Trentham, Woodend, Kyneton, Hanging Rock and Daylesford. Situated on 20 acres and bordering the wonderful Wombat State Forest, the Stonehouse is a unique rural retreat experience. Perfect as a base to explore the vibrant local region or simply for relaxing and whiling away the hours in front of the fire. The space The Stonehouse is a spacious double story country farmhouse-style accommodation located on 20 acres adjacent to the Wombat State Forest. Full of character and charm, downstairs the Stonehouse has a lovely country-style kitchen - with original Aga stove - and meals area which leads onto a large relaxing lounge room with stunning fireplace. The lounge opens onto a spacious timber deck, with outdoor seating and bqq facilities, that overlooks a large garden with rolling lawns and mature trees. The main bathroom with original clawfoot cast iron bath, and European laundry, is also situated downstairs. Upstairs there are 3 comfortable bedrooms, sleeping up to 7, a study nook and second bathroom. Guest access Guests have full access to all rooms in the house and are free to explore the property which runs along side the Wombat State Forest. Several cupboards containing the owners possessions remain locked, as does the garage. Other things to note The Stonehouse is not available to host events.
