The Perch, Dangar Island

Perched among the tree tops & birds, with views of the Hawkesbury River, you will find this architecturally designed ECO house made up of 3 pavilions connected by elevated walkways. Dangar Island is a small island less than 1 hour north of Sydney in the centre of the Hawkesbury River. It's the only car free suburb in Sydney & can easily be accessed via ferry, water taxi or private boat. Life moves slowly on the Island making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. The space The main front pavilion consists of two levels. The entire top level is open plan, with a kitchen and living area that opens on to the main balcony. This is the perfect entertainment area with enough space to comfortably seat 9+ people both inside and outside. North facing aspect, It's the ideal spot to bird watch & enjoy the closeness to nature. There is also a fire place, high speed WIFI , a big sofa & TV for a rainy day. On the lower level you will find 3 bedrooms and one of the bathrooms. The master bathroom has its own pavilion with a big bath and its own balcony. The master bedroom is privately located in the third pavilion, also with its own balcony. The island has a Cafe near the wharf, where you can buy basic groceries, get great coffee & food options during the day. The Bowling Club, has a restaurant (open Thursday to Sunday), where you can also purchase alcohol, or just relax & play lawn bowls on the green. Nearby you will find the beach, a new playground as well as aboriginal carvings scattered on walks throughout the island .
