The house is a 5 minute walk from a major street with 2 bus services. The metro bus (101) takes you to Huntington Yellow Line Metro Station. The Metro Station is just 15 minutes away by car. Paid parking is available at the Metro Station ($4.85 all day). From Huntington Station, downtown Washington, D.C. is a 25 minutes ride. The DC3 Express bus takes you directly into N.W. DC (about 45 minutes). Our neighborhood is 1 mile north of the historic Mount Vernon (George Washington's House) and 6 miles south of Old Town Alexandria (lots of restaurants and shopping there), both connected by the GW Parkway, so quick access. Easy commute to DC via metro or car. Metro bus (101) stops at the corner (5 minutes walk) that takes you to the Huntington Metro Station which is the beginning/end of the Yellow Line. From there it is a straight ride (25 mins.) to downtown DC. Notable stops on the way are Old Town Alexandria (second stop), National Airport (4th stop), Crystal City (5th stop), Pentagon City (6th stop). The house sits by the GW Parkway which runs through Old Town Alexandria, National Airport, and by DC. The house is 1 mile north of Mount Vernon and 6 miles south of Old Town Alexandria.
