Built over 230 years ago 'Copper fish' is a listed former fisherman's cottage, 50 yards from the beach, in the heart of Deal's charming conservation area. Within a 5-minute stroll, you'll discover an award-winning high street with independent shops, cafes, art galleries, pubs, restaurants, and a pebble beach with a 1000 ft pier. The space Copper fish is an authentic fisherman's cottage circa 1770. It's set over four floors with lime render brickwork, exposed floorboards and original oak beams. It's atmospheric, cosy and fun. You and your guests (up to four people) have the use of the whole cottage and comprise of a dining room, sitting room, kitchen, bathroom, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and a small yard. Please note in places we have low beams and ceilings. The Cottage has a tight spiral staircase that may not suit everyone. Dining Room | Painted original floorboards with a rustic pine kitchen table, four chairs and a dresser. Sky fibre max broadband. Kitchen | Fully fitted and equipped galley style kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, integrated dishwasher, fridge, and microwave. Living Room (The Snug) | Four-piece corner sofa, curved Smart TV (access to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc), Sky TV with Sky Sports and a selection of traditional board games. Bedroom One (Driftwood) | Exposed lime and brick walls with exposed oak beams. Standard iron double bed with a feather duvet, Victorian Pine Wardrobe and Drawers. Anti-allergy pillows, Egyptian cotton bedding, and cotton towels. Wooden sea chest containing a synthetic duvet, and extra blankets. Bathroom | Very spacious and light with Victorian basin, toilet and bath with shower over. Airing cupboard with spare cotton towels, and anti-allergy pillows. Hotpoint Washing Machine with Tumble Dryer. Bedroom Two (Crow's Nest) | Tongue and groove-panelled walls with exposed oak beams and dormer window. Two standard single beds with synthetic duvets, Anti-allergy pillows, Egyptian cotton bedding, and cotton towels. Dressing table and stool. Clothes rail. Backyard | Bistro style table and two chairs, small out shed with Beach stuff and a BBQ to take. (BBQs and open fires are allowed on Deal and Walmer beaches) Guest access The whole of the cottage, two bedrooms, two reception rooms, good size bathroom, kitchen and back yard. *Staircase is steep and may not be suitable for the elderly and very young* Other things to note As the Cottage is all original, the ceiling in places is low - an average height in England 230 years ago was just over 5ft 6 inches, so you may bump your head once or twice. Also if you're over 6.2ft you won't be able to stand to your full height in the shower...we do have a bath though!
