A lovely duplex situated at the end of a cul-de-sac in the sunny Seabright neighborhood, its easy to forget you’re in a city, when you can hear the waves and sea-lions barking from the front patio. At night you'll be surrounded by a star-studded sky, in a super quiet and safe location. Built in 1928 and fully modernized, this retreat is a stylish and fun light filled space. Walk to the beach (0.7 mi), Harbor (0.5) Boardwalk (1.1), downtown (1.5) , Rio Theater (0.5), UCSC (3) and so much more. The space is cozy and filled with light. It has its own private courtyard with an outdoor seating to enjoy the sunsets and a full kitchen to make your stay feel like home. The bedroom, equipped with a queen bed, has a blackout shade and is very quiet to insure a great nights rest. The modern lounge space has a comfortable couch and TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime included. It is truly meant to be a home away from home so that our guests can rest and recuperate while exploring beautiful Santa Cruz. Our guests are just a quick trip to the wharf, boardwalk, ocean, harbor, steamers lane, pleasure point, the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC), the Henry Cowell Redwoods, the Mystery Spot, Downtown, the Mission and the many restaurants and theaters of Seabirght and Midtown. Walking through the lovely neighborhoods around us is a great way to explore while getting around. If walking is not in the cards, it's an easy drive to most of the main attractions of the area. We live next door so feel free to reach out! Seabright is one of the most desirable locations in Santa Cruz. Known locally for its ample sunshine, the fog usually burns off here before other parts of the city, cute houses and friendly neighbors. Just a 10 minute walk to the harbor (w/ access to Arana Gulch nature space), 12 to the beach, 20 to the boardwalk or a very quick drive to all of them. It's easy to get to University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC), downtown, and all other Santa Cruz locations. An Epicureans delight surrounded by the best Italian restaurants in town: La Posta, Tramonti, Lillians Kitchen and Sugo Pasta Bar. Not to mention Sante Adairius Brewery with Michelin-star chef Bookies Pizzas, Engfers wood-fired pizzas and Linda's Sea-breeze Cafe It's the perfect place to make your home base while exploring the city of Santa Cruz and the beautiful nature that surrounds us. The neighborhood is a walker’s paradise, a ten to fifteen minute walk to everything you need, but driving is very quick and easy as well. You'll have your own private off street parking spot to store the car when you are out and about on foot. Beach chairs, towels and an umbrella are included so you can hit the sand for a nice day by the sea.
