A Quinta da Colina - Charming Cottage with pool

Your farmhouse is high in the hills overlooking the plains of the Zezere river. Located in a peaceful little farming area with small charming villages and welcoming locals but you are only five minutes from Castanheira de Pera and the Praia das Rocas. We are surrounded by beautiful river beaches and breathtaking mountain drives to the shist villages. There are pleasant local restaurants and quaint little bars. The space A Quinta da Colina is a traditional central Portuguese country house, completely renovated, maintaining all its original charm and characteristic architectural details, with all modern amenities inside the house, and the refreshing and sunny swimming pool in the spacious courtyard. We have two accommodation units (listed separately) available for our guests, Adega da Casa da Quinta for two people and Casinha da Quinta for four people. These can be rented together or separately. The landscape around is stunning, with miles of walking and biking trails, secluded river beaches for picnics and many ancient castles and ruins to catch up on local history. This is a large comfortable house for 4 people, where you will find a traditional patio and private garden overlooking the olive grove and surrounding hills, a living room, a dining room, two bathrooms and a modern, fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms are bright and comfortable. Guests can enjoy dining alfresco in the courtyard by the pool or view the endless countryside from the private garden on the other side of the house. If you need to keep up to date with what is happening in the world or at work, the entire Quinta has access to free wi-fi. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the central courtyard to access the swimming pool and sundeck, BBQ, and to socialise. There is a large covered space for dining or hanging out. There is common access through the courtyard or a private entry through the back garden. Other things to note This is an active, small-scale farming area. Guests may encounter farm animals nearby.
