Description
La Casa di Martino is an independent apartment housed in an ancient Salento Masseria with exposed vaults, tastefully renovated, embellished with a large courtyard of about 1000 square meters with an ancient well and immersed in the Mediterranean maquis. The space The Casa di Martino and the Masseria Specchiulla are my family's summer vacation spot and are therefore cared for in every detail. The house has recently been renovated and is equipped with hot and cold air conditioning. The two rooms are 7 meters high, one has star vaults, the other barrel vaults. The bathroom is finished with Vietri tiles. The fireplace enriches the house and makes it even more charming. In the bedroom, there is an antique wrought iron double bed and you can add, if you wish, a cot or crib. In the living room, in front of the fireplace, there is a double sofa bed that can accommodate two more people (preferably children, but also adults). It is located 11 km from Otranto and 25 km from Lecce, 10 km from Grecìa Salentina, so in a few minutes you can reach the major cultural and food and wine centers of Salento. Guest access The Masseria Specchiulla is immersed in the Mediterranean scrub 1 km from the sea in an oasis of natural protection. It is a masserizio complex built in different eras, the oldest of which dates back to 1500. The property is about 30 hectares and also includes an ancient forest of oaks and holm oaks that is entirely fenced. The house is located inside the main courtyard, which is accessed by an automatic iron gate, and is fully equipped with railings: security is guaranteed. Outside the house there is a courtyard of about 1000 square meters that over the years we have embellished with Mediterranean essences, oleanders, carob trees and figs. Other things to note Important: Masseria Specchiulla is not served by public transport, so in order to get around and do your shopping, you must have your own vehicle. Not far from the house there is a private village with shops, a bar-tobacconist, restaurant and pizzeria. There is also a market where you can buy basic groceries. Moving towards Sant'Andrea (a small seaside village 1 km from the Masseria) you can find a kiosk that sells fresh and seasonal fruit. In Borgagne and Torre dell'Orso there are all the shops you may need. Registration Details IT075057B400053124
