1-bed cottage, rural location, 5 miles from Bath
Description
Surrounded by idyllic countryside; 5 miles Bath; 3 miles Bradford on Avon; great for walking; excellent pub a short walk away ; farm shop & cafe 15 mins; self-contained; adjacent parking; stunning views over the Limpley Stoke Valley. If the dates you're looking for aren't showing, please send me a message: I release new dates from time to time. The space BEDROOM with double bed and TV. BREAKFAST ROOM with sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, electric mini-oven and grill with two hot plates, single induction hob, kitchen utensils, cooking equipment. BATHROOM with bath, electric shower, towels and toiletries. SITTING ROOM - spacious upstairs room with books and games, TV/DVD, desk, views over the garden and surrounding countryside. Overall, it's basic (slightly more shabby than chic) but cosy and quiet. You'll hear the owls at night and the birdsong in the morning. No cars, no street lights... We have tried to fill the place with everything you will need to be self-sufficient. We provide an iron, table-top ironing board and lots of information about what to do in the local area. There is plenty of tea, coffee, milk and sugar. For your first morning, I provide breakfast of homemade bread with butter, jam, fruit, yoghurt and juice. Places to eat in walking distance: Hartley Farm Shop & Kitchen; Cross Guns at Avoncliff; Seven Stars at Winsley; The Hop Pole Inn at Limpley Stoke. Guest access On arrival, please park at the bottom of the drive on the right, just outside your front door. Guests are free to enjoy the garden. There is a summer house where you can sit under cover, a swing seat to enjoy the evening sun, and a 'secret garden' below the main lawn. Check in: we can be flexible. Just let me know what time you would like to arrive and I'll see what I can do. Other things to note Please note the house is on the side of the valley so every walk does involve a fair amount of both uphill and downhill. Tea, coffee, milk, and your first morning's breakfast are provided. Best to be organised with dinner plans if arriving in the evening. The Seven Stars and The Hop Pole Inn are both great places to eat but need to be booked in advance. Nearby farm shop closes at 5.30pm (4pm on Sundays). Winsley Road Co-op is ten minutes away by car (closes 10pm).
