The space Welcome to LUNA — one of three holiday apartments at Vistas Tenerife, a small family-owned building in La Punta del Hidalgo on Tenerife's wilder, quieter north coast. LUNA is on the first floor, with its own independent entrance and 75 m² of light-filled open-plan space. An exterior staircase leads up to a cosy, private rooftop terrace with open views over the Atlantic — the kind of place where a morning coffee tends to turn into an hour. It's the sort of apartment you arrive at planning to stay a few nights, and leave already looking for a reason to come back. Large windows flood the living area with light from early morning. There's a proper bookshelf, a reading corner by a tall vertical window, and a dining table that's good for slow breakfasts. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who want to cook — and the local market is worth a visit. The bedroom is calm and generous, with a wooden bed frame and latex mattress (200 × 170 cm) that makes early mornings harder than they should be. The bathroom has a large shower. The building is reached through a lush Canarian garden — a small unexpected pleasure before you step inside. There's a table with a parasol for breakfast outside and a small pergola for quieter moments. La Punta del Hidalgo is the kind of north coast village that most visitors to Tenerife never find. Cliffs, black sand, a natural seawater pool five minutes' walk away, trails climbing into the Anaga massif, and waves that attract serious surfers. Nearly all our guests hire a car — and with good reason: the north of Tenerife rewards time and distance. For those who prefer not to drive, there are nearby bus stops with connections across the island. LUNA is an ideal base for exploring the island’s northern coast, its natural seawater pools and volcanic landscapes. Guest access The building has three apartments, all holiday use, all adults only. It's designed around quiet: no groups, no noise, no surprises. The apartment faces the Carretera General — Tenerife's main north coast road. During morning and afternoon rush hours some traffic noise is noticeable. This is a real village, not a resort complex, and for most of our guests that's precisely the point. Parking in La Punta can be challenging, particularly at weekends. There is no private space, but before your arrival I'll send a detailed guide to the best nearby options — something guests particularly appreciate after a long journey.
