Valtellina/Sondrio – The walnut tree

History, culture, tradition and folklore, a cheese unique in the world, the bitto:... it is the Val Gerola The space Walnut Tree Mountain is a lovely log cabin on two levels. On the ground floor there are kitchen, living room with fireplace and stove; upstairs there are two double bedrooms, a room under the roof with three beds and one room with two beds and a bathroom with shower. There is a balcony with a beautiful view of the valley. Outside there is a lawn with a table and barbecue. The chalet is an old stone building, renovated keeping the characteristics of the houses of the past, stone floor and wooden rooms, is located in the small group, but not far from the old town (10 minute walk) where you can go shopping . A ten minute drive there is the town of Morbegno with cinemas supermarkets and a beautiful historic district. Also in Morbegno we have a bike path on the banks of the river Adda. Guest access Pedestrian access by parking either on the road (100 meters from the house) or you can access the cabin (not with snow) with a small four-wheel drive car! The space to turn around the car is small! Other things to note The sleeping area is divided and each room is reserved. The living area for nine people is slightly sacrificed. The usable outdoor space is large. Hot water supplied by an electric boiler (100 liters - 3/4 showers), then wait for the water to heat up again. The pellet stove must be cleaned daily after use when it has cooled down.
