‘Triggol’s’ is a two-storey, newly-built, detached house set within the heart of the peaceful Somerset village of Lydeard St Lawrence. Located between the Quantock Hills (AONB), Exmoor and the dramatic West Somerset coastline, this quirky property offers a unique base from which to relax or explore. The property offers comfortable, open-plan living upstairs benefitting from a sun-trap, south-facing balcony garden, complete with 6-person hot tub. Well-behaved dogs allowed, please book them in. The space The upside-down configuration of this property makes full use of the light upstairs, opening out on a unique balcony deck and grassed garden with a newly-planted flower border. The open-plan layout upstairs is both practical and sociable, and the bifold doors allow you to extend your reception space onto the balcony garden. The garden is completely enclosed, marking it safe for dogs and young children. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor; the master has a double bed and the second bedroom has new zip and link beds; these can be zipped and linked from 2 twin beds into a kingsize (please request this change when you book). The main bathroom is on the ground floor and includes a modern walk-in shower and heated towel rail, and there is a second WC upstairs next to the living space. New for 2024 we have a private, 6-person hot tub, where you can relax, watch the sunset and gaze at the stars as they emerge (we have very dark skies here). Open 8am- 10.30pm. The well-appointed kitchen provides a dishwasher, Rangemaster cooker, microwave and there is plenty of cookware to make sure meals are easy to prepare. There is ultrafast broadband and the dining table can be used as a large work space, enabling you to work away from home in a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. There is are two Smart TVs allowing you to log-in and watch Netflix etc. A variety of board games and books are also supplied for your enjoyment. New for 2025…We have upgraded our baby/toddler offering to include: a 120x60cm cot with a proper (comfy) mattress, ikea high chair, baby bath, baby shower seat, feeding/drinking equipment, black out blinds, a sound machine, a light machine, bottle cleaning facilities, new toddler building toys etc. Guest access Please read the welcome email (sent 5 mins after booking) for details about how to access the property. Other things to note During the summer, guests will enjoy some freshly picked flowers from the garden. As animal-lovers, we are happy to welcome well-behaved dogs to the property and we provide some doggy treats and poo bags to ensure your dog's stay is as comfortable as yours. We politely ask that dogs are not left alone at Triggol's if you go out, and are kept off furniture and the flower beds.
