Newly re-listed after renting full time during covid. Apartment is an oasis in a quiet, historic neighborhood on Capitol Hill, but only 1 block from the vibrant H St NE Corridor. The location will please historians, foodies, and business travelers as it is a short walk to restaurants, coffee, public transit, the US Capitol, Supreme Court and more. On a tree-lined street, in a safe and convenient neighborhood, you’ll be steps from everything DC offers, but can come back to a peaceful retreat. The space Recently renovated 1 bedroom apartment close to everything in DC (food, sites, metro, Amtrak at Union Station). Clean, welcoming and comfortable with all the amenities you need for your stay. This ground level apartment has a queen bed with en-suite bathroom, the kitchen/living room has an open floor plan and full size washer/dryer. The living room has a day bed with a trundle bed underneath, so can be used as two twin beds or put together for a queen. Great for a couple, families with children/babies, or groups who want to maximize their time exploring DC. In fact, if you have a large group, consider renting additional rooms in the townhouse upstairs. We live upstairs and have 3 additional bedrooms that sleep 6 and 2 full guest bathrooms. There are two private entrances to the apartment. The front has no steps and the rear has a few steps. Guest access Guests who stay in the apartment have the best of both worlds. You have the privacy to relax in your own space and the option to come upstairs to visit with us and other guests. Guests are welcome to lounge on their own in the apartment, or to visit with us upstairs. Other things to note We first moved to DC in 1970 and love to share our insights, as requested. We understand that some guests want to focus on their work and activity and that’s fine too. Please know you are always welcome to visit with us upstairs for breakfast and lively conversation.
