Torquay is at the end of the Great Ocean Road, known for its beaches like the infamous Bells Beach. "By The Coast" is a 2 bedroom self-contained space 25-minute walk (2km) from Whites Beach and 15-minute walk along the dog friendly beach to Salty Dog Cafe. If you prefer to drive to the beach it is just 5 mins or an extra few extra minutes into the town centre. * Please note we do live in the back half of the house with a separate entrance when we have air bnb guests. The space *** PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE BOOKING YOUR STAY WITH US! *** Please note that we want potential guests to know we do live onsite in the back half of the property *** We access our space via a separate entrance on the other side of the garage. Our air bnb space is separated by a deadlocked door and an independent front entrance exclusive to you. There is no absolutely no shared or common space between the spaces. We do our very best to be invisible to you while you stay, but at times, we do come and go from the property. So, on the very odd occasions, you may see us arriving or leaving in our car, and we'll just give you a friendly wave to say hello. We understand you are here for R&R, and respecting your privacy is our number one priority. You can see from our 50+ reviews and superhost status our property is perfect for families, couples, and besties! ******************************************* Our gorgeous "By The Coast" is a self-contained space and a 25-minute walk (2km) from Whites Beach and a further 15-minute walk along the beach to The Salty Dog Cafe. If you prefer to drive it is just 5 minutes to the beach or a few extra minutes into the town centre. Guests have use of two bedrooms + lounge/kitchette + bathroom in the front of the house. Our bedrooms are configured with a queen bed, and unfortunately, this can not be changed. Over spring and summer, we have ceiling fans in each of the rooms to keep you cool. The house is double glazed and double bricked to keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter. Our beds are fitted with a warm electric blanket, and our space has central heating to keep you warm and cosy over the winter months. The separate lounge area (exclusive use for our guests only this is not a shared space) has been designed to make you feel at home with comfy chairs & recliners to relax with a good book, watch TV, Chrome & WIFI to stream movies and programs during your stay. We have a kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, kettle, air fryer, and toaster to give you all the creature comforts of home along with a small selection of tea and coffee for your stay. We also supply milk and a number of different cereals for breakfast for you to stay. Our bathroom has a free-standing bath, which is available for your use during your stay. We have plenty of space to store any surfboards, kayaks, etc. if you choose to bring these with you. We've created a guidebook under our profile "Everything About Torquay," which we continually add content to based on places we enjoy for sightseeing, restaurants, surfing, swimming, and shopping. THINKING ABOUT BRINGING YOUR SMALL DOG! There is a run on the side of the side of the house where you can leave your dog (1.5m wide × 15 m length). It does have a kennel, and it is secure once the gate is shut. We also don't mind if your small dog hangs out with our two dogs, Baxter and Jet, in our own backyard. Guest access You have exclusive access and use of the front of our home. You have your own separate self-check in entrance, separate (non shared) living room, and two bedrooms+ bathroom. Your space adjoins our main living area (we live on site) but is separated by a secured deadlocked door, and the walls are insulated to block out noise between the two spaces. Other things to note We have a Caviodle (Jet) and a Ragdoll Cat (Teddy) who love to patrol the house, keeping an eye on everyone and everything. You won't see them, but you might hear them for a few minutes upon your arrival. Once they know you're here to stay, they'll calm their farm!
