Perfect for families and groups, Rest at the Nest @ Red Hurworth Farm is a spacious five-bedroom countryside retreat overlooking Hurworth Burn Reservoir. Designed for relaxing and entertaining, it offers a true home-from-home experience with bedding, towels, hot tub towels, toiletries, washing essentials, tea, coffee, condiments, and more included. Pet friendly (£25 per night per dog). Hen parties and corporate bookings welcome. The space Whether you’re planning a family holiday, a special occasion, or a relaxing break in the countryside, Rest at the Nest offers comfort, space, and a memorable rural setting. The house offers two generous reception rooms, one featuring a wood-burning stove and a large picture window framing beautiful garden and reservoir views — an ideal spot to unwind after a day exploring. At the heart of the home is a large, fully equipped kitchen-diner, with seating for 10 around the dining table and everything you need to host friends or family, including a large double oven and Nespresso coffee machine. French doors open onto a raised deck, where you’ll find the hot tub and outdoor seating, with steps leading down to the garden beyond. A utility room with WC, washing machine and tumble dryer adds extra convenience for longer stays. The property sleeps up to 12 guests and includes: Master super-king bedroom with dressing room and en-suite Four further bedrooms Family bathroom Sofa bed in the snug for additional guests Outside, guests can enjoy a charcoal BBQ, picnic tables seating up to 16, a trampoline, and swing set. The extensive gardens provide plenty of space for children to play, kick a ball around, or simply enjoy the outdoors. A guest handbook is provided after booking, packed with local recommendations including things to do, places to visit, and great eateries. We’re also happy to help arrange extras to make your stay even more special. Guest access The bungalow is set within beautiful grounds, featuring extensive south-east facing lawns bordered by mature shrubs and trees, creating a peaceful and private setting. To keep children entertained, the garden includes a large trampoline and swing set. A raised decked area to the east offers lovely views across the reservoir, while a paved patio area to the rear provides additional outdoor space for relaxing or dining. The property is accessed via a private road off Hurworth Burn Road, with parking available at the front of the bungalow. An additional access road leads to the garages at the rear of the property, offering further convenience. Other things to note If you’re travelling with children, we can provide many of the essentials to make your stay easier, including a cot bed, highchair, books, and toys. If you have any specific requirements, please don’t hesitate to ask — we’re happy to help where possible. For the comfort and consideration of all guests, we do not accept group bookings of adults under the age of 21.
