Harmony Hills - Private Guest Suite

Welcome to Harmony Hills! A one bed, one bath guest suite nestled high in Wofford Heights, minutes from Isabella Lake, surrounded by beautiful scenery! Surrounded by the Sequoia National Forest (not the park, FYI), Kern River, Lake Isabella and Remington Hot Springs! Perfect for guests in the Kern River Valley to sightsee from a secure, private place. Enjoy a lake view during the day or starry night sky from the front porch and watch for wildlife in the morning from the backyard patio. The space A private guest suite (bedroom and bathroom with it's own, secured entrance) on the back end of a gorgeous A-frame home in Wofford Heights. The front of the home has a spectacular view of Isabella Lake and the Piute Mountains and your patio looks out into the backyard which is booming with wildlife year round. The room comes complete with a full size fridge, microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, shampoo, soap, towels and more - everything you need for a comfortable night's stay, even Prime and other streaming apps on a 50” Roku TV are included for your enjoyment! I clean with gentle, environmentally friendly products and provide earth conscious soap and shampoo. Please bag any food scraps before tossing them in your outdoor bin...we don't want any unwanted critters (there have been bear and skunk spottings in the area), and food waste definitely attracts them! I live in the main part of the house part-time, so I might not be around during your stay. Either way, you won't hear me much, if at all, but I am always available if you need assistance or there is an emergency. A solid wood, deadbolt-locked door separates your space from mine and you have complete privacy. I am available to answer questions via telephone (in the house manual you will receive and need to read thoroughly after booking, before arriving) or the Airbnb app. The room is self check-in, so arrive when you like (after 3pm) and let yourself in via the instructions you will receive after booking. Please be attentive to driving directions you will receive upon booking as phone apps often take folks through the mountains on a route you likely don't want to take. Night time is always quiet and pretty peaceful. My kitchen/living room is on the other side of your refrigerator wall and my bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs, to give you an idea of the layout. You may see me outside or hear me through the walls during the day, but you will have 100% privacy, and can't be heard by me at all, so make yourself at home! Please note that I clean the AirBnB and have pet allergies, so, unfortunately, I cannot accept guests with pets or other animals on the property. Guest access Guests park in the front of the home, in the space(s) furthest to the right when looking at the house (in front of the orange cone), and check themselves into their private entrance on the back of the house via a code that is sent after booking. Other things to note ***Please note*** If you are coming to see the giant Sequoia trees (Trail of 100 Giants) the road there is closed in the winter! It is usually open from sometime in May through October. Please refer to the Sequoia National Forest's website for information on sites and campgrounds that are open. Also, check the CalTrans website/app for up-to-date road closures and hazards before arriving. This includes the threat of wildfires and/or smoke during the summer. I suggest using the Watch Duty app to check current fire conditions. Weather and road conditions can change quickly in the mountains so stay informed! The suite is essentially a spare bedroom/bathroom or "mother-in-law suite" secured from the rest of the home, with its own private entrance on the back of the house. The yard is a shared space but you have your own patio and smoking area and are free to use the front porch to enjoy the view by day and stars by night.
