Guest access If you decide to stay with us you'll have the entire property for your family to enjoy, including the front porch, the patio, and the private pool. The patio is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing day barbecuing and laying in the hammocks in between taking refreshing dips and playing pool. All the facilities of the patio are within the property of the villa and include bathroom and small kitchen next to the pool area. Other things to note At Casa Alba we are trying to minimize our impact on the environment while still providing you with an excellent vacation experience. For starters, we try to make sure all the products we buy from local artisans and businesses are all natural. In this way, we not only minimise the environmental impact of Casa Alba but also support socially and environmentally responsible companies to thrive and make positive change in their industry. Beyond this we’ve switched to using all natural cleaning products that are safe for your family and are friendly to Mother Earth. The products we’re using were originally designed by a Puerto Rican engineer and are coconut oil based so there are no toxic chemicals that can harm your family. Promoting the work of local artisans and family businesses from Puerto Rico is part of creating a great guest experience at Casa Alba. The decorations around the house and to the extent possible the basic supplies provided are sourced from local artisans and family businesses. We do this for two reasons: First, we want to maximise the impact of tourist dollars on the local economy. Tourism is the largest industry in Puerto Rico but too often the money tourists spend in the island don’t stay here but instead go to big companies abroad. By buying locally, we allow your money to stay on the island and create jobs and opportunities for Puerto Ricans trying to make a living at home. Secondly, we want our guests to able to experience first-hand the quality of these local products so they are better informed when they are making consumer decisions once they head home. So at Casa Alba we want to make these products available to try at no risk to the guests so that they will know what they will be getting when they buy locally.
