My place is close to Como Park, Hamline University and a short bus ride to the University of Minnesota. I am 6 miles from Minneapolis and 2 miles to downtown St. Paul. I am close to 3 bus lines and 11 short blocks to the Green line light-rail that runs between Minneapolis and St. Paul. It is a good size room with a shared bathroom. I don't have chicken at this time. I have chickens so there are plenty of eggs for breakfast(when they are laying). I make kombucha and I am happy to teach. The room has a queen-size bed. There is a couch that pulls out into a hide-a-bed, but it is not very comfortable. It would be better to sleep on the couch. There is a TV and a coffee table. There is also a refrigerator, coffee pot and a desk with a chair. The room is air-conditioned and there is a space heater so you are able to control the temperature in your room. When you stay at my home you are able to use the kitchen. I have chickens, so you can make eggs for breakfast(When they are laying). No chickens right now. There is usually Kombucha in the refrigerator, that you are welcome to drink. The bathroom is shared with me. Guest enter the house by the left-hand side door, by the lilac bushes. You will be able to use the living room and kitchen. Provided that they are cleaned after every use. This means: 1. Wash, dry, and put away the dishes 2. Wipe off the stove and counters. 3. Sweep the floor and mop if it is very messy. 4. Put food away. If you do not agree with the clean up policy, then plan on eating out. These are shared spaces. I love helping guest find their way around the Twin Cities. I have compiled a list of things to see and do. There is a list of restaurant near the house. I can help guests use the transit system to get around the cities. My neighborhood is a nice regular inner city neighborhood. It is multi-cultural and close to transportation in the city. The Sixth grade boys next door play basket at night. We are within walking distance of Como Lake, the zoo and Conservatory. There is plenty of parking in front of my house. There are three bus lines((83) Lexington Parkway, Minnehaha Ave. (67) and the Como bus (3)) within three blocks of the house. The Green-line light rail runs between Minneapolis and St. Paul is 11 short blocks away. The bus #83 travels up to the light rail or to Rosedale Mall. I do not take guests from the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul). If you have a good reason, I will consider your request. There are train tracks a block away. They can be noisy and rattle the house sometimes. I am able to keep the cost down by conserving energy and water. Please help to keep the cost down.
