Studio apartment on edge of village

Welcome to our 'Batch' a bright one-bedroomed studio set within an orchard on the edge of the attractive village of Thorverton, just a 15 minute drive from Exeter. It is a very quiet and private position with views overlooking the orchard. The space Our 'Batch', so called because my sister-in-law, over from New Zealand named it such, is a bright and airy one-bedroomed studio with double bed, ensuite shower room and kitchen. It overlooks our orchard and has a private patio which is a real sun trap in the evening (perfect for an early evening drink). We make all our guests welcome and provide tea, coffee and biscuits. Although we live close by, the Batch is totally private with its own parking. Thorverton is an attractive village in the Exe Valley within easy reach of the coast, Dartmoor and Exmoor. The city of Exeter is an easy 15 minute drive away. Thorverton has two pubs, one which serves food and there are several pubs and restaurants in the area that we can recommend. There are 2 National Trust properties close by and plenty of walking and quiet lanes for cycling. The nearest main line train station is at Exeter and there is a bus which runs to and from the village several times a day. There is also a more local rail service which goes to Barnstaple. Thorverton makes an ideal base for cyclists and walkers and although it is not totally flat around here there are routes to suit everyone. We only accept a minimum of a 2 night stay. Guest access The Batch is totally self-contained but we are close by in case you need us. Other things to note We only accept a minimum of a 2 night stay and do not accept dogs. If you are staying for 5 days or more I am very happy to do some washing for you. This has been useful for those guests who don't live in the UK and are on a long visit.
