Black Horse Cape is a charming 1842 twin chimney cape. 4bedrooms upstairs,2 full bathrooms, and everything you need for a wonderful stay.While we have kept the Home historically correct, it has all modern amenities you need. Including access to a semi private beach just a short walk down a beautiful trail.Modern kitchen and historical touches.A wonderful place to rest after adventures in Maine. We require knowledge of your entire party. Adults and children, no more than 6 total. The house is located close to Route 1, so easy access to anywhere. The house is only 3 miles from downtown Belfast. Shopping, hiking, and so much more. Access to a semi private beach for swimming, kayaking, and more. You must cross route 1, to access the beach trail. Trail is maintained by the town, it is not our trail to maintain. Drive to Acadia, Camden, and many local tourist attractions. Fort Knox is a short drive away. This home sits back from Route 1 (traffic possible) with access to so much.Come stay in this cozy historical home. Discover the magic! This house is located on a property shared with a Pet Grooming business. They are open from 9-5 and keep noise to a minimum, but the potential is there. No complaints yet. Guests have access to a back deck with a gas grill. Semi private beach access only a short walk across the road (route 1)and down a town maintained fairly groomed short hiking trail. Private laundry room. No smoking of any kind on property. No pets allowed. Please feel free to contact us for any of your needs. We do not want to disturb you, so we are only a text away, call away, or a walk next door to our Pet Grooming Facility. There is bowling just down the road. Beach access. Great restaurants in all directions. Antique dealers, shopping, and more. Hiking close by, Downtown Belfast only minutes away. So much to do and to see. There is a bike path not too far from Black Horse Cape. Walk down to the footbridge. Walk to pubs and local restaurants. So many ways to get where you want to go. There is no smoking of any kind on the property. We do not allow any open flame of any kind. The heat pipes can be loud as it is old radiator steam heat. Typically you shouldn’t need heat. But spring and fall guests should be aware. The pipes can bang and clank when heat is just turning on. There is a portable air conditioner provided for the upstairs (stored in master bedroom closet). There is also an air conditioner in the living area downstairs. Most guests find they don’t need them as we have the ocean breezes. There is one TV in the house. In the living room downstairs. Free WiFi We provide a coffee maker and most kitchen appliances. We provide essentials to more than get you started. If you use them up, you will need to go to the store and buy your own replacements. Ceilings are 6’1 upstairs. Downstairs are tall and normal.
