Working Cattle Ranch

We are 6 miles north of Chandler (Route 66). "Entire home" refers to the professionally built, 900 sq ft space over the garage which means stairs (within code). Our home is attached via a breezeway. We have 80 acres with pastures, 1 stocked pond and trails through the woods. We have 3 outdoor “always on” security cameras: 1 on the garage wall and (main house) front & back porches (not the N patio which guests can use). This is our home, we expect responsible and caring guests. The space This is a working cattle ranch on 80 acres of mostly pasture with about 20 acres of woods. There are several small ponds (only 1 with fish), two tiny streams and several walking trails. We are on a ridge so the view is 360 with no other houses in sight. The road in from the highway is 2 1/2 miles on a dirt/gravel. If it rains your vehicle will get mud on the tires but the base is solid so you shouldn't get stuck. Stargazing is pretty good here because we don't have big outside lights. We currently have three ranch dogs: Romeo and Juliet are great Pyrenees, Sammy Sosa is an adopted dump dog. All dogs are very friendly and will greet you like long lost relatives. Guest access There is a good cell signal due to the proximity to I-44.. There are 80 acres to explore including some trails through the woods. There are cattle and horses grazing these pastures so use common sense caution. There is also a stocked farm pond that guests may fish in. It's either clean your own or catch-and-release. New 5/3/24: we are excited to announce we finally got fiber internet!!! There is a new Samsung smart TV in the living room and a small olderVisio in the master bedroom. The latter has a digital antenna that picks up about 15 stations. Other things to note We don’t allow other animals of any sort, including “service dogs”, because of our farm dogs, loose chickens and baby calves. Unfortunately, anyone can get a service dog certificate and harness off the internet. We put a lot of work into our home and we have some nice wooden furniture and antiques. We expect guests to use coasters and wipe up spills immediately.
