The Cartlodge: Modern, rural Essex barn conversion

A modern treat tucked away in an old Essex farmyard. With a dreamy kitchen, reclaimed beams and log burner, you will love staying here! Our home is all about open plan living and has an 8 metre glazed expanse bringing the outdoors in. A glazed canopy above means that even in the dreariest of English weather, you can sit outside in a rocking chair and listen to the pitter patter of the rain. In the sunshine, enjoy use of our sunny granite-paved patio, gas bbq, and very spacious garden. The space Our home is a converted cartlodge with a fantastic high double vaulted ceiling, polished concrete floors with underfloor heating, and luxurious en-suites in two of our bedrooms. The kitchen has everything a cooking enthusiast could want: six burner gas range, double 90 cm ovens, full American style fridge freezer, separate wine fridges, dishwasher, deep sinks and quartz countertops throughout. A separate utility room holds a washing machine and tumbler dryer with additional double sink and access to patio. The are two superking bedrooms with fantastic ensuites. The third bedroom is a huge childrens room with two single beds and utilises the family bathroom next door. There is plenty of space for a baby or two in a travel cot in any of the bedrooms. We have toys and books for all ages, so you can leave yours at home. Huge bonus: we have a Lego room! It has a slightly low head height, but is a great additional space to hangout and play. We know you’ll enjoy your stay at The Cartlodge and look forward to hosting you! Guest access You will have access to the whole house and garden, apart from one room at the rear of the property. Other things to note This is our family home. We live here most of the time, and are sharing it with you because we love the ease and comfort of staying in Airbnbs when our family travels! For anyone with allergies, please note that we share our home with a lovely, fluffy dog.
