Victorian holiday cottage within the old town walls. Lovingly renovated with an emphasis on sustainability, character and a mix of contemporary and vintage flair. Compact, yet comfortable and open-plan. One bedroom with double bed, the other twin beds. Weekly bookings only during peak summer weeks (Fri-Fri). No street parking due to the location, but plenty of reasonably priced carparks within 2 minute walk. If booked, please look for our property next door. Gumfreston House! The space We are a family which loves nature and the outdoors, and are happy to share our local knowledge with guests. We also have a separate adjoining holiday property backing onto the cottage - Gumfreston House - which has a private access through the double blue garage doors you can see on the cover photo. Gumfreston is an old fisherman's cottage spaced over 3 floors. There is a cellar kitchen/diner downstairs, with living area on the ground floor and bedrooms/bathroom upstairs. Located within Tenby's old town walls just around the corner from the shops and 2 minutes walk from the nearest beach. Tenby is the jewel in Pembrokeshire's crown surrounded with world-class stunning beaches. A great place to relax on sunny days, or enjoy braving the elements during more blustery times! Only FRI-FRI bookings during summer school holiday. Shorter stays available during off-peak times, with a maximum of 2 pets allowed. Because we are within the town walls it can get lively on the streets outside during the weekends and bank holidays, especially during the summer. We would advise sensitive sleepers to bring ear plugs just in case! Basics are provided - soap, toilet paper, tea/coffee/sugar. Many thanks Marcus and Abi Guest access Parking: A traffic ban operates within the town during the summer holidays (From 10am-5pm, although you are allowed through to load/unload). No on-street parking is available. You may get lucky and grab a free spot on our street or nearby outside of the residential parking bays! Otherwise the nearest car park is the council run multi-storey 2 mins away which I give directions to upon booking. This operates using an app. Simply download the 'PayByPhone' app and search for the location 805916 (Long Stay). Prices range from 50p per hour, £5/day and £25 for a week. Amenities: Wi-Fi, Dishwasher, Fridge, Hob, Oven, Microwave, TV, DVD player. Travel cot and high chair available. There is no washing machine at the property but there is a clothes horse available and a launderette 50 yards up the street on the left, open 24 hours. Other things to note During high season (summer school holiday periods) we only take weekly bookings with FRIDAY as the changeover day. Prices vary throughout the year. Sustainability: Gumfreston Cottage is powered by a renewable energy provider, and we're constantly thinking of ways to reduce our carbon footprint. That includes helping our guests to be thoughtful and conscious of their waste and recycling, limiting single use plastics by providing refillable products and toiletries, and trying to promote local producers.
