The cottage is located in Maurset directly on the Riksvei 7, a national tourist route between eastern and western Norway. Maurset is a tourist center near the spectacular Vøringsfoss waterfall with a drop of 182 meters. From Maurset it is only a short drive west to Eidfjord with stores and cozy restaurants. Day trips to Voss, Bergen and Odda are easily possible from the cottage. A short drive east and you will reach cozy towns like Haugastøl, Ustaoset and Geilo. Here you can expect wonderful alpine resorts as well as activities such as rafting, bowling, horseback riding, golf, climbing park, bike rental, water park and much more. The place is also a good starting point for kiting. It is only 5 minutes by car to Dyranut, one of the best kite areas in Norway. In addition, you will find parks such as Langedrag Nature Park, Vassfaret Bjørnepark, Gordarike Viking Park and Eventyrgarden Huso. 200 meters from the cottage you will find a charging station for electric cars.
