Upper Flat in Historic Johnstown, New York
Upper Flat in Historic Johnstown, New York
Description
Lovely flat two blocks from downtown where you'll find the oldest courthouse in the country and the birthplace of Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Our home is just 30 miles from Saratoga Springs. It's also a short drive to the Adirondack Park with excellent hiking trails, the Great Sacandaga Lake, and Caroga and Canada Lakes for boating, fishing, and swimming. The space A cozy upstairs flat that features one bedroom with a Queen-size bed and a walk-in closet. There is also a sleeper-sofa in the living room that sleeps one adult comfortably. While there is not a full kitchen available, we offer many amenities, including a Keurig coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, and toaster. We supply coffee and tea, cream, and sugar. Also cold cereals will be on hand. Milk and bottled water will be in the fridge. We are a short drive away from the Adirondack Park, with excellent hiking trails, downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as many lakes, both large and small. Johnstown was founded by Sir William Johnson, the British Superintendent of Indian Affairs, in 1763. His home still stands and is a State-owned historic site and museum. The site is approximately a five-minute drive from our home. Guest access Private entrance. Apartment is upstairs and is not handicapped accessible. Enjoy free off-street parking and free WiFi access. Guests are welcome to peruse my small book collection and should feel free to take one with you if you find yourself enjoying it. I'm of the "take one, leave one" school of thought, but take one anyway even if you don't have one to leave. I believe books are to be shared. Other things to note Getting Around: Guests should have a vehicle to enjoy the area attractions. The only bus system available services our local college, Fulton-Montgomery Community College. However, downtown Johnstown is within a very short walking distance.
