Wildfell Cottage is a stunning two bedroom cottage - with designated free parking - set right in the heart of Haworth just off Main Street. It is located in a quiet courtyard within a stone's throw of the Bronte Parsonage, School house and Church. The space Wildfell Cottage is a beautiful, stone-built period cottage dating back to the late 1700s. This traditional two bedroom cottage is situated in The Fold - a cobbled courtyard directly off the historic main street of Haworth in the heart of Bronte Country. With its own private parking and paved garden, you can relax quietly and undisturbed yet still enjoy all the village has to offer for the charming independent shops, pubs and restaurants, the Bronte Parsonage, School Rooms and Church are all but a stone’s throw away. It has a wealth of period features including stone-flagged floors, oak beams and cast iron stoves set in stone fireplaces etc. but is up to date with WiFi, Amazon Prime Internet TV, Alexa music PROPERTY FEATURES: - Designated parking for one car directly outside the cottage. - Two double bedrooms with exposed oak beams - Views overlooking the Bronte Church and Clock Tower - Boutique bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower cubicle. - Gas central heating with vintage radiators - Wood burning stove - Electric fan oven and induction hob, microwave, . fridge, freezer, dishwasher, - Double glazed hardwood sash windows throughout - Internet TV with Amazon Prime, Freeview, DVD and MP3, WiFi, Amazon Alexa, hairdryer, - Sunny stone paved garden with dining area - We like a minimum stay of 3 nights but please message us if you have different requirements. Lounge: A warm and inviting sitting room with large feather cushion-backed sofa, wood burning stove in an original stone inglenook fireplace, beautiful feature oak beams and carpet flooring with soft lighting. We offer a large HD flatscreen television with Amazon Fire internet TV, DVD player and Amazon Alexa provides all the music you need and can access 2 million songs on request. Kitchen: The kitchen is a traditional cottage shaker style with inglenook feature fireplace with cast iron stove. The kitchen is very well-equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. There is all the cooking equipment needed for your stay. It has a fully restored Yorkshire Stone flagged floor and a dining table with seating for four. The bistro lighting provides a modern, yet elegant contrast to the traditional theme and there are USB charging points for your phones etc. Rear Bedroom: Looks over the stable block that belonged to the blacksmith that once lived in Wildfell Cottage and who worked in the adjacent forge. This is a lovely bright room with a wrought iron double bed frame and memory foam topped mattress, feather duvet with Egyptian cotton covers. There is a feature stone fireplace as well as other exposed stone features and oak beams. You’ll find plenty of hanging space and drawers as well as USB charging points. Front Bedroom: This is a beautiful boutique room with lots of original features. The original cast iron fireplace and lofty ceilings with large oak beams and roof trusses create a delightful open space. The room overlooks the cobbled fold and the church clock tower. It has a double wrought iron bedstead with feather duvet as well as large wardrobes and plenty of drawers, storage and charging points. The chaise longue makes a pleasant and relaxing place to sit and relax. Bathroom: This bathroom gives an opulent feel with a Victorian style roll top bath, Vintage fittings and a separate electric shower. The tile effect flooring, crystal chandeliers and large silver framed mirrors create a perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. A bath towel and a hand towel is provided for each guest at the start of your stay. Garden: The private stone-paved garden is directly in front of the cottage and is surrounded by a picket fence. There are lots of large tubs with seasonal flowers and plants as well as seating and tables. It is a lovely quiet garden area which gets the sun most of the day and has a view of the church tower and clock. It’s a wonderful area to have a cup of tea or a glass of wine and listen to the church bells or to read and relax. **Guest Information** - Bed linen, hand towels and bath towels provided - Up to 2 small / medium sized well-behaved dogs are welcome, but please only in the kitchen overnight - No smoking - Pubs and restaurants less than 1 minute’s walk away - Please be aware that the cobbles on the courtyard as well as the original stone staircase and the stone flagged floors are quite uneven and steep so is unsuitable for children and those who have restricted/limited mobility.. Security: The cottage is protected by entry motion sensors and video doorbell. Both of these are disabled after you check in and then re-enabled at checkout We ask that before you leave you place all used towels and bed linen in the bath, and put all used crockery etc into the dishwasher and set it off. Guest access The entire property except cellars and loft. Wildfell Cottage easily houses 4 guests and is a spacious home full of character. Guest access You'll have the whole house with the exception of the loft and the cellar Other things to note Please be aware that The Fold is a cobbled courtyard and is quite uneven. Wildfell Cottage also has Yorkshire Stone floors and quite steep stone stairs. Cleaning materials are stored in the kitchen under the sink and in the bathroom which may need consideration. Also the grandfather clock on the landing may represent a tipping hazard. We recommend you carry out a risk assessment of the cottage based on you own particular circumstances when you arrive but sadly the cottage is not be suitable for people who have mobility issues or for young children
