2017 I opened "The Veranda Guesthouse".The Guesthouse is named for its peaceful/relaxing,private veranda,that offers views of Kootenay Lake,and the Selkirk Mountains.The Guesthouse is on a large wooded property surrounded by nature,with a cozy modern ambience,a wood stove,large soaker tub,and fully equipped kitchen! (((PLEASE NOTE))) Due pandemic and wildfires/smoke my cancellation policy will include a FULL REFUND,if either of the above reasons should occur.It will remain as strict otherwise. The space The house is sitting on a perch with a rock garden and stone steps that cover the front aspect of the property.While sitting on the Veranda one is in total privacy,the setting is park like with frequent sightings of wildlife walking through and lots of lush greenery creating a peaceful relaxing environment.The location is ideal, just a 10 min walk through Gyro Park to the city centre! The inside is spacious and bright,with expansive windows that create a visual of the outside garden.The queen size hide a bed is situated in the living room along with a single day bed.The bedroom has a queen size bed,both beds are very comfortable. The wood stove is situated in the living room along with a dining area. The kitchen is modern with a butcher block island that has a cozy eating nook.The bathroom has a large soaker tub for two,with a separate shower. There is also a washer/dryer available in the suite,and chrome cast tv! Guest access The guesthouse is my private home. I live in the upper suite and the whole main floor of the house is "The Veranda Guesthouse" it is totally private from my living space.The house sits high off the road and the driveway is a little steep,with ample room for 2 vehicles to park at the top! Other things to note Complimentary local coffee,Specialty teas,condiment,herbs, Spices,honey/sugar and olive oil are provided! Hand and body soap in the bathroom! Dish soap! All skis and bikes must be left in the outside storage not in Guesthouse! (ON STREET PARKING)in the winter due to a steep driveway!
