Great little cottage for 2 (plus cot) on a lane in the middle of beautiful Cornish countryside. Full of character and charm and very well placed for everything: we're 10 minutes to beaches, very near the gorgeous Helford River. Only 20 minutes from Falmouth, 25 from Truro/St Ives. 1 hour from Eden Project, Lands End. The space Tolvan Cross is an ex-smallholding, and Barn Cottage used to house the cows, apparently. Our guests always tell us what a peaceful atmosphere the cottage has, and how much they've loved their stay with us. In our garden you can find the Tolvan Stone, which is an ancient holed monument from around 4000 years ago. Folklore has it that children were passed through it to cure them of rickets - and it's also reputed to have amazing fertility powers. The cottage is very open plan - almost mezzanine - so please realise that sound travels between the upstairs and downstairs. The cottage is heated by efficient electric heating and there is also a woodburner, which is the best (and cosiest!) source of heat in the evenings. We live next door but there is a big wall between the two houses so you're very private. There are no other neighbours. You can park in the driveway or on the road if you prefer. Guest access You have use of the whole cottage, plus a little garden which has a table and chairs, a barbecue, a firepit, and a washing line . Other things to note There is wifi in the cottage. We respectfully ask guests to be good neighbours and not to play music too loud. Stairs are open-tread - careful with toddlers.
