Kamesei Ryokan, quiet onsen inn, private standard

Kamesei Ryokan is a family-run traditional onsen inn with mostly warm wood construction and gardens throughout. We are an American-Japanese couple that are happy to share our onsen town Togura-Kamiyamada with visitors curious about the Japanese countryside. You can relax wearing yukata robes in your private tatami mat rooms and enjoy the hot spring mineral baths rich in sulfur content. (The onsen baths are tattoo-friendly.) Our chef's creative kaiseki-style dinners are highly recommended. The space Guestrooms are traditional Japanese style with tatami-mat floors, shoji screens on the windows, sliding fusuma doors, and decorative tokonoma alcove. Room is our standard room 10-tatami mat size with sink and private toilet. Bedding is futon mattress spread on the floor (by us). Bathing facilities are with the common onsen baths, divided men's and women's, both with outdoor baths and all available 24-hours.
