Furna D’Água I is a house with views to Pico Mountain and the island of São Jorge. The house is inserted in an old vineyard in the center of the village in the place of Cais do Pico, where the green of the vines, the black of the basalt and the aroma of the sea stand out. The ideal location for your holidays The space From the porch and patio, you can enjoy the views and, on clear days, a sunset or the starry night sky. You can also enjoy a barbecue and an outside shower, ideal for cooling off on hot days. The house, decorated in a retro style, consists of a fully equipped kitchen and living room (open space) with AC, a complete bathroom with bathtub and a bedroom with a king size bed. All windows and the main door have shutters. If you are a fan of nature between the months of March and November, you can hear the peculiar song of the cory's shearwater (Calonectris borealis) one of the most iconic sea birds of the Azores. In the end of August, beginning of September you can taste the grapes produced on the estate's vineyard. Guest access Furna D'Água I is an independent space, with free parking on the street. Access to the whole house including an ample outdoor space, outdoor shower, barbecue and vineyard. Other things to note IMPORTANT — some information we would like you to know: - Check-in and check-out: check-in is normally from 4:00 pm and check-out is by 1:00 pm. Depending on the circumstances, some flexibility may be possible. If check-in takes place before 4:00 pm, it will be self check-in. -Another house on the property: there is a second house on the property, approximately 20 metres away, which is also used for tourist accommodation. The two houses are completely independent, including their outdoor areas. - Location: the house is situated on a secondary road, parallel to the main road. There may be some traffic and noise, particularly during working hours and at certain times of the year. - Festival: during the last weekend of July, from Wednesday to Sunday, a festival takes place in the village, so there may be some additional activity and lively atmosphere during these days. - Nature: as the house is set within a vineyard and close to the sea, it is natural to come across some of the island’s small inhabitants, such as lizards, ants and birds. Between March and November, you may also hear, especially at night, the distinctive call of the Cory’s shearwater (Calonectris borealis), one of the most emblematic seabirds of the Azores. - Grape harvest season: in late August and early September, the ripe grapes in the vineyard may attract some small visitors. -For little ones: if you need a cot, high chair, baby bath, baby plates or cups, or any other baby equipment, we will be happy to provide it.
