Close by - St Malo, Dinan, Dinard The space Our ecogite, Le Chanvril, here at Les Gîtes de La Touche is in a charming renovated barn. It is light, modern and comfortable but we left as many old features as possible to remind us of its former life. There are all the mod-cons you'd expect in a newly renovated place, such as new kitchen, washing machine/dryer, TV/stereo, WIFI, etc. We renovated with ecologically friendly materials where possible and we have installed appliances such as an eco-friendly wood pellet burner and efficient heat exchange extractor system. Le Chanvril looks out onto a large park-like garden and there is a a terrace with outdoor dining furniture and sunloungers etc. It is only an 800m walk to a lovely safe swimming beach on the river Rance- take the country lane or wander through the fields to get there. There are many river tracks close by and forest walks in nearby Le Val Hervelin. Bikes are available to explore the area. By car, it is only 10mins to the gorgeous medieval town of Dinan, 15mins to historic St Malo and 25mins to the lively beach resort of Dinard. The fabulous and unforgettable Mont Saint Michel is only 40mins away and Fort La Latte is one of the many impressive forts and castles in the area. And there are many, many beaches and coastal paths to explore.t Guest access Guests have access to the large park-like grounds. Outdoor furniture in summer.
