It is a quick 5 to 10 minute bike ride from Duval, or 15 minute walk. About 10 blocks on residential streets. This large studio is on the upper floor of a century old Key West converted commercial building. The Oscar winning film the "Rose Tattoo" was filmed partially here on location in the 1950s. This home is a monthly rental. The studio is very old world Key West. The building is over 100 years old and the studio incorporates many "old Key West" particulars like slatted windows. It is very energy inefficient. :) The floors have weird crooked slopes. We have updated a number of parts of the house while retaining its old world feel. There are brand new (2021) GE appliances and a wine bottle fridge. The bathroom was recently remodeled. There is a small 2 person table and an L shaped couch. The TV has Amazon Prime and Netflix. The building is a triplex. This studio is one of the units. It has it's own street entrance. It is completely private. There are no shared spaces. The studio is one unit of a triplex. The building is a converted commercial building. It was a grocery store 70+ years ago, then a restaraunt, and, likely, a few other iterations, and now is a triplex. The studio occupies half of the upper floor. The owners (us!) live on the bottom floor in our own house. The studio has its own private entrance and is completly seperated. There is no shared space. We do not generally interact much with our AirBNB guests but are right downstairs if you need anything or if anything comes up. The building is right on the edge of Old Town, Key West. It is located one block off White Street - which is the "locals" main street. It is about ten blocks from Duval Street. It is a 5 to 10 minute residential bike ride to Duval. Or you can walk there in about 15 minutes. We are across the street from Bayview Park which has local markets, tennis quarts, a softball field, etc. We are also on the same block (less than 1 block) from Faustos, the local grocery store. There are many restaraunts within a 5 minute walk. Key West is easiest to navigate by bike or by foot. You can also drive and park on the street around the house. It's very safe and there is always parking within 1 block of the house.
