Welcome! The Pleasant Pheasant is a tranquil hideaway where we hope you feel all your worries melt away. Ours is the perfect place to stop enroute to the Whitsundays, Cairns, Brisbane. Popping into town or beaches can be achieved easily - you're never too far from civilisation … or not! A hearty breakfast kit and fresh fruit platter is included with your accommodation. Our names are Donna and Peter and we are so happy to be hosting you in our home. Please enjoy wandering around our lovely property. Be sure to take a stroll around the property, or take a seat at the fire pit and watch the afternoon pass by. If that doesn't peak your interest, may we suggest taking a refreshing dip in our gorgeous salt water pool. Why not see if you can spot one of the many animals that happily co-inhabit our property. Keep your eyes peeled for goannas, turkeys, eagles, bandicoots, pheasants and the odd wallaby along with a large number of bird life that visit the animal baths morning and afternoons. We have created a detailed guide book along with maps/pamphlets for your perusal to make your experience more enjoyable. Why not relax by the pool and flick through our top tips for the area! We would encourage you to enjoy the fresh air and take time to relax and rejuvenate in this very special place we call home :) Guest access You will have access to a studio on the lower level of our house. It is completely closed off from the rest of the house and you can come and go as you please via your private, lockable separate entrance. The space is large and bright. It has a private bathroom, lounge/tv section, kitchenette, air conditioning, outdoor seating area and of course the bed area. You can park your car right outside your room. There’s plenty of space on our 5 acres for your boat, trailer or caravan too. Other things to note We are flexible with pet owners. Please do inquire if you'd like to stay at the Pleasant Pheasant with your furry friends. We happily offer you a hearty "Pleasant Pheasant Breakfast" and a fresh fruit plate which is included in the room rate. In your fridge you will find a sumptuous selection of local and imported fruits, a platter of breakfast goodies including bacon, sausages, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic, onion, herbs... whatever is in season! How you cook it is up to you! There is a BBQ just outside the studio for your convenience, or electric skillet, toaster etc. As well you will have a choice of snacks, juices, coffee, tea, milk and spreads to enjoy at your leisure!
