Mountain cottage, spectacular views
Mountain cottage, spectacular views
Description
Cosy & basic mountain cottage. 3 bedrooms plus separate rear cabin. Can sleep 8-10 people overall, but better suited for smaller groups (4-6); 1 double bed and 2 bunks in house and rear cabin has additional bunk beds for 4 people. Fireplace, external toilet/bathroom with a deep bath. Important note: bathroom & toilet are joined to the house but access is external. Amenities are in original condition but fully functional & cottage is well equipped with everything you will need for a great stay. The space Rustic old mountain cottage, full of history and character. The house is old and a bit quirky, but very cosy. Recently fully repainted and new carpet throughout. A great place to retreat from the busyness of Sydney, with fantastic valley and cliff views from the house and large front yard. Blue Mountains bushwalks right from the front gate. The house is small but sleeps 6, and there is an additional cabin at the rear with comfortable bedding for another 4 people. Note that the living and dining areas are small and therefore better suited for smaller groups, so for larger groups use of the outdoor areas and facilities (outside dining table, seating and bbq) is the best option. If 5 star luxury is your thing, this is not the house for you. If, however, you're looking for a really unique mountain experience for friends or family in a cosy cottage with awesome views, the nook is a great option to consider. There is wifi available at the house. Details will be provided ahead of arrival. Guest access Guests are welcome to use everything at the house, including an extensive CD collection, fireplace with firewood supplied, lots of toys and indoor/outdoor games for kids. Note that bed quilts are supplied but guests need to provide their own linen (bottom and top sheets, pillow cases, towels etc) and also other basic items for the stay (soap, toilet paper and matches/firelighters etc). Other things to note The house is over 100 years old and is full of character and history. It's a wonderful place to escape, especially for families. Note that bed doonas are provided, but guests need to bring their own linen, sheets and towels etc. The house does not have a TV.........enjoy the serenity and a good book to read! Note that we also own the property next door (called Nilgeri) and it is also available for rent, so there is capacity to accommodate larger groups or events.
