Mountain Brook is your quiet escape after adventure-packed days in the Wasatch Mountains. Park City, Sundance, and Salt Lake City are minutes away. Your creekside home--cozy and a bit retro (think going to your grandma's home)--is nestled in the mountains in a secluded residential neighborhood, away from the city. Located in scenic Provo Canyon. You are 6 minutes to Sundance, 13 minutes to Provo, and 44 minutes to Park City. Dogs welcome! We have a fully-fenced yard. The space Mountain Brook Retreat is perfect for those who are searching for a peace-filled alpine experience. You have a large family room with a wood burning fireplace and dining for eight, along with overstuffed armchairs and couch. Lots of room for games, and relaxing--and the fun includes a 1938 Schiller spinet piano. You have CenturyLink 40Mbps Internet, with wifi and an ethernet cable for connecting directly to the modem. Do be aware that there is no air conditioning. It may seem counterintuitive, but during the summer the home stays cool if you leave the windows closed during the day and use the fans that are in each room. This retreat is dog-friendly, with a fully-gated yard. It's a quiet neighborhood with neighbors nearby, so we ask that your dog not bark when outside. Go hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and then take a 4-minute walk to the Provo River for fly fishing and rafting. You have easy access to water skiing during the summer and ice fishing during the winter on Deer Creek Reservoir. And The Homestead Crater in the town of Midway offers 96-degree scuba diving. Finish off your day at your home, toasting marshmallows at the outdoor fireplace, barbecuing on the gas grill, and listening to the babbling brook. We provide you with enough firewood for your first night's stay. For an additional fee, you can contact us a week before your stay and we'll arrange to have firewood delivered the day you arrive. Every attention is made to assure that the home is cleaned and sanitized for your visit. New mattresses on all beds installed July 2020 Guest access The property is entirely yours to enjoy. This is an HOA neighborhood. There is no parking on the streets and, consequently, no events on the property. All cars must be parked within the fenced yard--a total of three cars can be accommodated. Other things to note We keep the cupboards stocked with breakfast items like pancake mix and syrup. And there are some dinner items like rice, beans, pasta and spaghetti sauce--things to tide you over until you get to one of the nearby grocery stores. We provide you with enough firewood for your first night's stay. For an additional fee, you can contact us a week before your stay and we'll arrange to have firewood delivered the day you arrive. As noted in the listing, there is not an air conditioning system in the home. During the hottest days of summer, it can get warm in the house. The evenings are always cool and folks sleep with the windows open to assure a breeze through the house. There are fans in every room.
