Ginger's Underground Home with Desert View & Deck

Our underground home is set in the desert town of Cooper Pedy - renovated and loved, the property has a stunning outlook and an above ground deck to watch the stars and sunsets and is beautifully appointed on the in. Originally my fathers place, a young man from Ireland, who set out to make his fortune in the Outback - mining for Opal - a story told over and over again of adventure, dust, heat and hope! "Stunning home! Well presented and very clean. I feel a lot of love went into this home". The space "We arrived around 8pm when the sun was going down over the extraordinary Coober Pedy “moonscape”. We climbed the viewing platform and enjoyed the sunset experience with a very refreshing cold beer." Anthony Jan 2018 Our place is literally a 5 minute walk to the town centre, the iconic Drive In and all that Coober Pedy has to offer, including numerous tourist attractions, supermarkets and John's Pizza Bar. It is so close to the hub of everything and yet is secluded and private. Open plan, welcoming, cool, clean and comfy. The kitchen is well equipped with all you will need to cook up a storm or simply just have a cup of tea or coffee or glass of wine after a long day on the road. There are two bedrooms - the larger room (which was the original dugout) has a queen bed and the other is nestled further into the space with a double bed. The living room is quiet and cool all year round. The bathroom is calm and fresh and there is also a shaded carport. Stunning deck overlooking hills and perfect for sunset or sunrise! All in all a comfortable and relaxed home to refresh for the next leg of the journey! We also have decided, after much thought, not to have children stay - this is because of the worry for both parties. It is very difficult to get tradesmen in this part of Australia and therefore very tricky to get anything repaired.
