The Master bedroom has one queen bed, the second bedroom has two twins. THE TWO TWINS MAY BE JOINED INTO ONE KING IF REQUESTED AT BOOKING. Please let us know what you prefer. The cottage sleeps up to four guests. Please book for the accurate total number of guests (four maximum) at booking. Relax on the cottage's shaded front porch overlooking the orchard or on the sunny deck by the flower garden. Well-equipped kitchen, TV/DVD, stereo, Wifi, central A/C. Grill on the new gas grill off the front porch. We provide no longer breakfast items, sorry. Please bring what you need. There is a Walmart nearby, ABC store, various restaurants available for take out. We shop online for contactless pick up Thursday-Sunday at Forrest Green Farm (wonderful healthy teas, vinegars, pastured chicken, pork, eggs, plants, other healthy food items), Cavalier Produce (for fabulous online ordering of fruit, vegetables, milk, eggs, cheese etc and weekday pick up 15 mins away in Ferncliff. Order 48 hrs ahead ), Local Food Hub contactless farmers' market in Charlottesville, or at Local Eats in Palmyra. Great local wine can be picked up via online ordering from Cunningham Creek Winery. Forrest Green Farm has a lovely new store, open 9-5 Thursday-Sunday, where you can safely shop for local food and herbal items while wearing a mask. Be sure to visit and also enjoy their beautiful herb gardens. Our water is provided by a well that serves our farm, Bluebird Cottage and the farmhouse. We ask that guests please be mindful of water conservation. Run the dishwasher only when it is full and careful to save water however possible. Water is a precious and finite resource. Watch songbirds visiting our feeders or bluebirds who make their homes in our trail of 6 nesting boxes. A bluebird house is at the Cottage and you will see bluebirds tend to their brood during the spring and summer months. Watch the herd of Angus cattle graze the fields. For the more energetic, walk the seven miles of trails through the 460 acres of pasture and woodland. You may see deer, wild turkeys, hawks, heron, and more. Visit wineries, nearby Forrest Green Herb Farm, Keswick Hall and Vineyards, Barboursville Vineyard, UVA, FUMA, Monticello, Charlottesville, and Richmond. We live in the 1850 Farmhouse which is across the orchard from Bluebird Cottage. Enjoy total privacy or we can show you around the farm. Guests often like to visit the cows or hike on our 7 miles of trails. Our farm is a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle. Enjoy the outdoors and the peace and quiet or make a short trip to nearby attractions. We are in the country so you will need your own car. There are many interesting things to see and do in the area or choose to rest and relax on the porch or in the flower garden. Guest access This is your own private cottage. Guests are welcome to enjoy the trails on our farm and share in the bounty of our orchard and garden. The swing set is for the use of ourselves and our cottage guests only (when supervised by an adult) and is not open to the public. It is across the orchard from the cottage.
