Description

Super convenient location! No car needed, only steps from MARTA Oakland City Station. 10 minute train to Airport & 5 minute train downtown. Welcoming atmosphere with a communal, hostel-like vibe, perfect for solo travelers looking for a fun, laid back place. Hosts are friendly and easy going, including the 3 resident canine co-hosts. Not a traditional room with solid walls but one of six inviting, beautifully decorated private areas divided by light wooden partitions & floor to ceiling curtains. The space Semi-Private Space.... This is not a real room with solid walls, but one of six cheerful, inviting, beautifully decorated areas divided by warm solid wooden partitions and floor to ceiling curtains. Picture a small spa room with the cozy feel of fort you may have built as a kid. Some have described them as sleeping pods or cubicles. There is total visual privacy, and guests are asked to keep any noise at a minimum, to accomodate everyone's sleeping schedule. In each of these little sleeping pods, you will find a very comfortable and well dressed single bed, plenty of storage, towel, robe, slippers, earplugs, headphones, fan, and pretty much everything needed to get a cozy night's rest, an afternoon nap, a session of work/study, or just chillin and relaxing. These crash pads are perfect for just a night passing through Atlanta (only 4 quick stops from the Airport, then a 3 minute walk to the house) or even for an extended stay (so close to downtown) At any given time there could potentially be up to 6 people staying in the Crash Pad area, sharing a small kitchen, one shower/tub, 2 toilets, and 3 vanity sinks with loads of natural light and mirrors, which is plenty to accomodate everyone. The Crash Pads and amenities described are on the Garden level of our beautiful historic home. The main level has 5 private rooms, 2 bathrooms, the big main kitchen, and lots of living room/common area space available to use for hanging out, working, reading, etc...The common areas, bathrooms and kitchen on main floor are all available to crash pad guests, too. Guests are usually well traveled, friendly, educated, interesting to chat with, and in the habit of good house sharing etiquette. Sorry, no children or pets allowed. However, we do have 3 of the sweetest, cutest dogs ever that stay here, as well as myself, Tracy. House is tastefully furnished with vintage housewares mixed with modern and elements of nature. Kitchen available to guests, as well as WIFI and BBQ grill. Nice big yard and patio seating perfect for enjoying our beautiful, sunny Atlanta mornings. The neighborhood...Capitol View, an up and coming community close to downtown. It's a strictly residential neighborhood comprised of single family homes that has a Bohemian mixed with inner city feel. You won't meet any tourists around here. It's mostly just local, lower income, working class, friendly ATLiens. Semi-Private Space... This is not a real room with solid walls but one of six cheerful, inviting, beautifully decorated areas each divided by slim wooden walls and floor to ceiling curtains.
