Rustling Nest - Farm Stay for a Cycling Weekend

Located 5 kms from Sriranga patna, Rustling Nest ( opened in Aug 2020) is 600 meters away from the Cauvery river, best suited for family , for folks who are keen on cycling and short treks. Stay over among tall trees , wake up to call of the birds , Leisure walk to the river side . After spending years in the city , we built our home among tall trees. Evenings (4pm onwards ) are best spent in our back yard with several birds chirps which is missed in the city. Many call the above as simple, however for an urbanite living in a city , we call it a luxury. Luxury to be spending time listening to these birds chirps. If you are looking to experience the above then we will match your expectations. 1200 Sqft home for yourselves All-round secure verandah [ let your pet(s) run around freely] 1/2 acre of Private Front and Backyard space. Kitchen for basic preparations - please check for charges for full time cooking. Guest access Guests will have complete access to the Home. This an exclusive for the guest who has booked the place. One can spend evening time around the barbecue or Light a fire. Or use the 80 year old wooden swing Other things to note Rustling Nest is not a hotel or a resort. 1. It is a getaway and provides a near experience of a village stay . 2. Food can be ordered - Served what the local consume. a. Breakfast @100+ is Idly /Akki rotti/ Rice [ Vangi bath , Puliyogarae] varieties. [ Tea and coffee available in house] b. Providing combination of breakfast to the guests is not possible. Lunch : a. Veg meals @150, chicken Meal @275 and Mutton Meal @350 b. Chicken and Mutton combination will not be provided. Rice, Chappathi/rotti/Ragi ball, Curd , Vegetable salad, Curry provided in the Meal . Meals are whole Some. c: Eggs - we provide Farm or Free range chicken eggs . Free range eggs cost anywhere from Rs 15 - 20 Per egg. 3. Please rinse and wash your plates [ dishes] . 4. Tea time : The below is subject to availability - pls check with us if the below is available. Please request for snacks [ Vaddae/Bajji/Pakoda] Upon request it will be prepared fresh and served. We do not reuse the oil when preparing the snacks. One may find it expensive when compared to any hotel snacks. Coffee and Tea : Milk / Coffee/Tea available in the kitchen. a. Filter/ Instant coffee and tea is available at no cost . However if we have to prepare them , we will be happy to, at a cost. b: Milk - Fresh cow milk or Dairy Packed Milk available . Pls ask for options. Sugar cane/ Tender coconut available at a cost - please do ask for the same. Pet food : Upon request Rice and any broth can be provided - with charges extra. Garbage Disposal : There isn't any proper disposal system in the village , therefore please do not bring any disposable plates/spoons etc. If there are plasticware/Bottles that are left behind we shall dispose them for a cost . 5. Hot Water - We being a village , the Power is unpredictable. We have a Fire wood boiler through which hot water is available. From 6am - 9am it is made available. Should guest need hot water in the evenings , they are requested to inform the care taker . It takes 15minutes to fire up the hot water. 6: Cycles - we have 3 adult and 2 children cycles available within Rustling Nest. We request our guests to be gentle with them. 7. Mosquito net - though is not required , we do have them within our home. Please do ask for it. 8. Linens - Should they fall short , please feel free to use extra ones available at our home. Rustling Nest was built for our kids , a small but cozy home , red oxide floors, Tiled roof and among nature and trees. Our guests have provided several ideas / feedback and we have improved over the months. We strive to provide our guests a village experience, a quite family time under one roof. Please do ask for any facilities , if available we shall do the best to provide , if not available we will be honest and graciously decline it.
