Description
Table House is a beautiful clifftop villa on Table House Farm on Table Cape just out of Wynyard in North West Tasmania. With grand spaces inside and out it was designed especially to accommodate couples or families gathering together for special occasions. Enjoy views from every room, four king bedrooms with en-suites, a 360 panorama from the tower and private access to a beautiful beach. There are other lovely beaches nearby but no real surfing beaches. The space More like a boutique hotel, there is a magnificent sense of space with huge living and dining areas, an internal open-air courtyard and a cocktail lounge in the tower (the perfect retreat for ‘happy hour’ sunsets). There are four separate bedroom and bathroom wings, each with king sized beds, one of which can be converted into two single beds. The chef’s kitchen is stocked with essentials and you're welcome to use the fresh seasonal produce from the kitchen garden. Dine in front of a roaring fire or under the trillions of stars in the courtyard. Other comforts include a fully equipped laundry, two powder rooms, library, good heating, Smart TV, integrated sound system including connection to play music from your device, and free Wi-Fi. The climate in North West Tasmania is generally milder than in other parts of Tasmania. It can be wild and wuthering at times (the tower is a perfect spot to watch storms rolling in from the ocean), but on other days it is a place of absolute serenity. The house is double glazed with central heating, so it’s very warm even in the depths of winter. Guest access Guests can self-check in with a key pad. During the day pack a picnic and your fishing rods and head down to our beautiful beach. (We don't own it but have exclusive access through our property - unless you come by boat.) Check the tides. It's best at low tide or when the tide is receding. We've spent many glorious days down there with our children fishing off the rocks, playing cricket and swimming. (Beware of the occasional rip when the sea is rough and choppy.) The beach is an easy walk down, but a steep hike back up the hill. But we think it's worth it. Explore the farm with Bass Strait views from every paddock. Then return to a fun game of croquet - especially enjoyable in the long twilight evenings in summer - or play Klop, a highly addictive log tossing game suitable for all ages. Or just relax indoors by the fire listening to music, playing board games or cards, doing jigsaws or curl up in front of the Smart TV and stream your favourite movies. Other things to note There is an electric vehicle charger on site. When we are here, we stay in a small cabin on the property (AKA The Lodge) so we are available to assist if you need any help. The cabin is close by but separated from the main house by a very tall hedge. Both places are very soundproof. As it's a farm with some sheep you may occasionally see us about, away from the house, during the day but we would never invade your privacy.
