Our log cabin is located on a 50acre lifestyle farm in a hidden valley an hour south of Nelson and 40 minutes north of Murchison. It is peaceful and private with stunning mountain views and space to relax. With no traffic noise, the only sounds you will hear are the native birdsong and the Little Hope River running gently beside the property. NO Discrimination - everybody is welcome here. The space We are fully off the grid and operate our own hydro-electricity unit and solar water heating. There are no power lines, no internet reception and no cellphone coverage. Come to us for a break from technology, reconnect with the natural surroundings and recharge your soul. Past guests often tell us it is so relaxing here they wish they’d stayed longer, so if you have the time consider staying an extra night or two. The river running through the property offers many scenic river walks to swimming holes, picnic spots and even an old railway bridge. We run a lifestyle farm on our side of the property, and you are most welcome to come and meet the animals and learn a little of what we do. Triple Tui is located in one of New Zealand’s best trout fishing areas. Your host Steve is an experienced fly-fishing and hunting guide, and would be more than happy to arrange a fly-fishing or hunting expedition for your stay. Our log cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway where you can simply relax and unwind. Guest access Whilst you are our guest you have total privacy and seclusion on the other side of the river. You have access via a swingbridge and/or a drive over the river. A 4wd vehicle is not necessary as Steve can help you with your bags if needed. Other things to note If you are staying 3 days or more we do offer to do your laundry if you require it. We can also provide a breakfast basket if required at an extra cost of $15 per person per day. The nearest restaurants, cafes and shops are at least a half hour drive away, so please bring all your food and provisions with you on arrival.
