Merries Byre is a lovely, comfortable family home in the beautiful Suffolk town of Southwold. Located a minute from the High Street and Common and an easy walk to the beach; it's a perfect base for a great holiday. The house offers homely, practical living space and a sheltered, southerly aspect garden which is sunny and bright. One well behaved dog welcome (£30 by prior consent). The space PLEASE NOTE - Min 2 night stay (a supplement of £60 applies for 2 night stays, payable direct prior to your stay). Min 3 night stay during Easter holidays. Min 7 night stay during Summer holidays. We do try to be as flexible as possible so please contact us if you have a specific request. The house sleeps 5+2 people comfortably in 3 bedrooms (kingsize + futon / twin room / single room / sofa bed in lounge) - with plenty of storage/hanging space in each room. For more than 5 guests we charge an extra £20 per person per night, this is to cover laundry/extra cleaning costs. The large sociable kitchen has french windows leading to a south facing garden with patio and lawn and the spacious lounge has a real fire for cosy nights in. A high chair is available for guest use. Toilets upstairs and down. Merries Byre is comfortable, practical and welcoming to families with or without children and dogs. We feel the house offers a home from home feeling without being overly fussy and precious. The garden has private gate access to Blackmill Road making it ideal for cyclists and dog walkers. Please note that access to the main bathroom is through the single bedroom (with the upstairs toilet accessible from the landing). Guest access Guests can access the entire property. Check in from 4pm (earlier if we are able to) and check out by 10am on day of departure. Other things to note One well behaved dog welcome - by prior arrangement only (charge of £30). Additional dogs strictly on request. Dogs are allowed full access to the downstairs and garden area but we kindly ask that you do not allow them to go/sleep upstairs. Dogs must not be left alone in the house as barking due to separation issues disturbs the neighbours. A travel cot/bed rail/waterproof under sheet for toddlers can be arranged on request. Stair gate is fitted at the top of the stairs. There is a charge of £20 pppn for extra guests (over 5 people). COVID19 Following Covid we have reviewed our cleaning and preparation policies to ensure we maintain our 5* cleanliness rating and will go above and beyond to exceed expectation. Our check-in time has been reviewed to allow extra time for all preparations to be done.
