"So Tranquil" Private Beach & Hot Tub

Beautiful apartment with Hot Tub, Summerhouse and garden, all for your sole use of your stay! Plus, of course, exclusive access to our private beach! Absolutely PRICELESS!! “peaceful, restful, calm, still, serene, relaxing, soothing, private, secluded, comfortable, leisurely, unhurried, easy-going” …if this sounds like your type of holiday then ‘So Tranquil’ is just for you! (please note, during the 2026 school summer holidays - 25th July-5th Sept bookings must be Sat to Sat) The space 'So Tranquil' apartment is a ground floor wing of our main house, which is located on a privately-owned estate with its own private beach. It is perfect for up to three guests (plus there is a travel cot facility for an infant). WIFI: The apartment has its own dedicated WIFI connection; perfect if you have to fit in a couple of zoom calls whilst away (but we hope this won't be the case and that you can fully relax/recharge in our beautiful coastal surroundings). MAIN BEDROOM: The main room of the apartment has a king-sized bed and also houses the sofa, smart tv, clothes hanging rail, dining table/chairs, books/games, plus large map of Cornwall to help plan your trips. SINGLE BEDROOM: The single bedroom is located off the main bedroom and requires access through it. There is additional clothes hanging space and the travel cot (if needed). KITCHEN: The kitchen is full size and fully equipped, (see photos) and hopefully has everything you should require (please let us know if not!). The washing machine is also available for your use. There are plenty of guide books/tourist info leaflets to aid with any day trips you may decide to take. BATHROOM: The bathroom has a walk in shower plus normal facilities. BACK GARDEN: Outside, in the back garden is the hot tub and summerhouse, plus rotary washing line and additional patio seating areas, which as guests you have sole access to. PRIVATE BEACH: Our private beach is just a few minutes walk away and you can see the sea all the way from the front of the property as you walk towards it! (the beach allows dogs all year round). ON OUR DOORSTEP: Our Duporth Bay estate is incredibly quiet, yet only a few minutes’ stroll from the UNESCO World Heritage harbour of Charlestown, which is steeped in TV and film making history…including, most recently, Poldark’s harbour scenes. There are several restaurants, cafes and pubs here, which serve the day’s sea catches, as well as good vegetarian and meat choices. Some meals you may prefer to eat at the apartment; the kitchen is well equipped for your stay. Relax and unwind on the beach, taking in the outstanding views of St Austell Bay, or venture out further... The Cornish coast path offers plenty of walking opportunities….locally to Charlestown, Carlyon Bay, Par, Polkerris and Fowey to the east, and Porthpean, Blackhead, Pentewan and Mevagissey to the west (driving is also an option!) There are golf courses at Carlyon Bay and Porthpean. You can hire watersports equipment at Pentewan and Polkerris if you’re feeling energetic; St Austell Bay is generally very safe to enjoy Stand Up paddle boarding/kayaking…there are plenty of sheltered coves and beaches which can only be accessed by the sea...and you may see our families of playful seals out in the bay! The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are both only short drives away, and St Austell town centre has several shops, restaurants and a cinema. FAMILY FRIENDLY: So Tranquil is family friendly; we have a travel cot, highchair and stroller pushchair available free for your use if needed (bring your own cot bedding). Contact us if you have any additional family questions. PETS: Regarding pets, we accept ONE dog only; owners must provide own dog bed/crate/bowls, provide own throws and keep dog off sofa/ beds. Please do not leave your dog unattended in the apartment. (no extra charges for the dog to stay). Hot Tub is for adults only. We have a wealth of local knowledge; feel free to ask us anything...but one thing is for sure... where cream teas are concerned it's always JAM FIRST! Guest access Guests are able to access all areas of the apartment, as well as the driveway and the back garden, which is where the secluded hot tub and summerhouse is for your sole use during your stay. Please note the back garden is not fully fenced - a dog would have to be supervised on a long lead/camping stake there. Other things to note The parking space is immediately outside the apartment and is allocated for one guest vehicle only (other free parking nearby, if needed). The single bedroom is accessed through the main bedroom (just to note if you are 3 adults wanting to stay!) We allow one dog only to stay; our garden is not fully fenced (although the summer house is secure) - guests usually bring a long lead/camping stake, as well as their own throws etc for the dog to sit on within the property.
