The Camp House - NO CLEANING FEE

You can have the privilege of staying in one of Springfield's oldest homes, an historic 135 year old Victorian family home in beautiful Walnut Street Historic District with gardens and large front porch. The home was built by the owner's Great Grandfather for his new bride in 1886. The Camp House has always been owned and lived in by descendants of the original owner/builder, Dr. Walter and Pauline Camp. John and Pat have restored the home to it's mostly original condition. The space The house is within easy walking distance of downtown, the Cardinals AAA ballpark, concert halls, MO State Univ., restaurants, city parks. The home is in the Walnut Street Historic District with many historic homes which make a nice walking tour. We are a family friendly operation and prefer guests in the spirit of responsible families, married couples, adult groups, and singles. We are careful to screen our guests to assure and maintain high standards of character, conduct, activity, and responsibility. Guest access Guests will have full access to the entire home. The garage and basement are for owner only access. The house is used exclusively for guests and is not otherwise lived in or occupied by the owner or others. The front door has keyless lock. The back door is a keyed lock however no back door keys are provided and entry must be by front door when house is locked. One parking space is available in rear alley 2-car brick parking area and unlimited street parking is permitted. Other things to note The Camp House has 12 rooms and 3 1/2 baths and 5 bedrooms. Guests may choose which bedrooms to use but we request that unused bedrooms remain closed and unoccupied. The upstairs living area has a large screen TV and an adjacent snack bar/laundry room. Living Room has a 55 inch TV. Each bedroom has individual A/C controls. The whole house has 9 individually controlled A/C zones. Heat is radiator hot water with one central thermostat in small breakfast room next to kitchen. Some bedroom's heat has limited control by radiator manual turn valves. Sunroom HVAC is by wall mounted heat pump which also provides heat and air to kitchen. We ask that no windows be opened or operated. Laundry room is for guest use. Detergent is provided.
