Golden Cane Couples Retreat is a very rare uninterrupted waterside accommodation property within the Woolgoolga beach area. The retreat has constant deepwater frontage unaffected by low tides at any time of the year. The space The studio is a very modern open plan consisting of living space, kitchenette, queen bed with ensuite. Guest access An ideal couples retreat with your own private entry and private sitting area. Other things to note The surrounding area offers so much to do. Woolgoolga Lake is a small 'paddle only' saltwater estuary welcoming canoes and kayaks to explore the 3kms of waterways. You're welcome to bring your canoes, kayaks and SUP boards. The are optional launching points in the vicinity. The beach is a very short 300m away via a footbridge over the peaceful lake waters and the town centre is only a further 300m. You can quite literally walk to all the Woolgoolga town centre, beach and lake offers without needing to drive from our central location at all. Fishing is popular on the lake and beach as well as the adjoining beaches which offers anglers multiple options in all conditions. Cycling paths and bush trails from the property lead to many coved beaches and headlands. There's a market in the town beach reserve 3 out of 4 weekends. Coffs Harbour is only 15mins drive away with all that a major regional town offers. REVIEW: Hi Sandy, Hope you're well. I know this is incredibly late, I tried to post our review but it seems we're past the time allowed. I couldn't shake the guilt of not giving you guys your deserved review, so hopefully this can be of use! We've been quite busy this year and now that things have settled down I've just had a chance to write something up, below: "My partner and I spent a week in Woolgoolga at Golden Cane Couples Retreat and it was such a great experience! Sandy and Garry were such gracious hosts who offered us the privacy we needed, but were always there to help or have a chat. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and a bunch of tips on what to check out during our stay. My partner has always had an interest in fly fishing and Garry just so happens to be an A+ instructor! He gave my partner a private lesson at a very reasonable price right on the waterside lawns, and even helped us prep the fish we caught for a lovely BBQ right there on the property. The studio was immaculately clean and well taken care of, offering all the comforts a traveler might need. The property has a large backyard looking onto the water, which was great for fishing and hosted many kangaroo and kookaburra visitors during our stay. Just a quick stroll to the beach let us get our surf and tan on, and the short walk into the town centre let us sample the amazing restaurants Woolgoolga has to offer. The Retreat is also a short drive away from national parks, rainforests, and dozens of beautiful and secluded beaches.
