Falls Cottage, in the rainforest at Jamberoo

Falls Cottage was built by a Jamberoo local in the 1980s and has grown in charm and character with every passing year. We have lovingly restored it with a country cottage kitchen, hand crafted interior finishes, a comfortable mezzanine bedroom and a deck and barbeque area to maximise guests’ enjoyment of the beautiful rainforest surrounds. We now have an EV charging station on the property . Type 2 , up to 22 KW an hr. Costs apply . The space The cottage is a private, self-contained hideaway set on two acres beside the creek and separated from the main house by a grassy field, hill and tree cover. The cottage features a highly functional kitchen with a four burner stove, microwave, tea and coffee provisions including a Nespresso machine, as well as a small kitchen table and chairs. The cottage has been restored to reflect the local flora and fauna. Guests will enjoy a breakfast basket on arrival with fresh eggs from the free range chickens on site, a range of preserves ,granola / muesli as well as local honey, fresh fruit , and a choice of bread. Afternoon arrivals will be welcomed with home made treats . The mezzanine bedroom with railed galley stairs is a cosy and comfortable sleeping space, while the sitting area beneath is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a book or one of the movies or board games provided. The front deck is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful rainforest surrounds and the sound of the Minnamurra river, with an outdoor setting and Weber barbeque at guests' disposal. The cottage has effective heating and cooling options for warm and cool days.Please note the wood burning stove is not up to current safety standards but the cottage is lovely and warm with an effective electric heater and electric blankets for winter . It has a lovely cosy feel. Internet is provided as is a chrome cast . Please note we have great internet but our regular TV has an unreliable signal due to our location . Charging stations for phones on both sides of the bed . Board games and outside games are also provided. Guest access There is free parking on the property. There is no public transport so a car is necessary .Uber drivers and taxis do come to the property for those wishing to dine out and not drive . EV charger on the property . Other things to note Please note the mezzanine bedroom is only accessible by the railed galley steps which are steep and is not suitable for children.Lola, our dog and several chickens are on the property.
