Our Beautiful Chalet

Our home is situated in the centre of the village of Lofer, which is a small market town. The beauty of Lofer is it is both a summer and winter resort. A five minute walk to ski lifts, bars, restaurants, shops, children's play park and swimming pool. Also lovely for long or short walks a hop and a skip away; beautiful hiking areas, mountain & road cycling, climbing, white-water rafting & kayaking, canyoning and relaxing; all available in the summer. Skiing and snow park in winter. The space Our space is ideal for family get togethers. The bedrooms offer privacy while the downstairs living area offers communal dining, entertaining and cooking in the open plan kitchen, where the chief cook and bottle washer never feels left out. Outside in the summer, we have a large bbq and outside table and chairs for al fresco dining. Guest access The chalet is open to guests in its entirety, with the exception of the outbuildings, loft, basement and one of the bedrooms. This still leaves ample space for a group of friends or family to enjoy the chalet with enough room to relax without stepping on each others toes! We have provided a high chair and cot for infants if required. Please make known your requirements at time of booking, so we can ensure these are available when you arrive. Other things to note In the centre of the village is ......... Dankl resturant, they do amazing cakes, ice cream and a delicious menu too. Korbel, lovely cakes and a traditional menu. Great outdoor area. Am Platz, is lovely for an evening meal with a simple but very nice menu. Great outdoor seating in the summer. Bobo's alongside the gondolas lovely for a drink on the terrace and watch the world go by. Further outside the village.... Grubhoff is a good walk alongside the Saalach river towards St. Martin. About half hour walk to have a well earned beer and traditional menu. Hochmoos is also about a half hour walk through the fields, its a wellness hotel open all day for breakfast lunch and supper. Also a traditional menu with a delicious salad bar. They also hire out their ten pin bowling alley in the basement if the weather isn't great. (will need to book) Steinerwirt hotel has recently reopened with an amazing restaurant and great food also in centre of the village. Maria Kirchental is a respite area with a resturant lovely walks and a beautiful church, about a 45 minute walk uphill from St. Martin. In winter if there is a lot of snow they offer sledging ! If you have your own transport, Bad Reichenal is a beautiful town worth exploring with lovely shopping and pavement cafes. I can highly recommend Reber on the main avenue. Enjoy!!
